From Montreal or Quebec, preferably by bus or by car.

By car : Highway 20 East. Leave the highway in Cacouna to follow road 132 to Rimouski during 55 minutes. Car renting at Montreal airport : see http://www.admtl.com.

By air :

  • Air Canada / Jazz  flights to Mont-Joli regional airport located at 30 km from Rimouski. A shuttle service is available to Rimouski’s main hotels. See : http://www.aircanada.com.
  • Air Liaison ensures a daily flight between the North Coast, Rimouski and Montreal. It uses Rimouski airport located close to the city center (2 km). See : http://www.airliaison.ca.

Useful information

North American electric current (110 Volts / 60 Hz) and outlets are different from European's, and may be other countries. So, if you think using any European devices, adaptators are recommended.

Gratuities are not included in Quebec. I you use a taxi or go in a restaurant or in a bar, tip is highly recommended; 15% of the fees before taxes.

At this time of the year, there is no more snow! Temperature should be around 10 - 20 Celsius.

Smoking is strictly forbidden in all public places.

Don't forget your passport, with visa if needed, which should have a 6 month valid period after your departure from Canada.
