As you know, the platform Claroline is released under Open Source license (GPL). Downloading and using Claroline is then completely free of charge.
A team of developers (Belgium) is working every day to design and improve the platform. But if you wish you can contribute to the project and help the Claroline team in different ways, whatever your skills.
Any contribution or helping hand will be very appreciated.

Translate the application
Translating Claroline in a new language
- Get the english 'complete.lang.php' file
- Rename it in 'your_language_complete.lang.php' file
- Open the file with your text editor and replace the English text by the appropriate language translation.
Completing an existing translation
- Get your language file on SVN
- Open the 'complete.lang.php' of your language file in a text editor and make any change required to the existing translation texts.
- Fill up 'complete.lang.php' with the missing translation items. You will find these items in the corresponding 'missing.lang.php'. Change the English text by the appropriate translation and copy the line (from the Dollar character to the semi-colon included) into 'complete.lang.php' file.
Alternatively you can use phpLangEditor that will help you in your translation job.
Once your translation job is done, send the 'your_language_complete.lang.php' file to the following address: info@claroline.net. After a specific process, the Claroline development team will make the new language translation available in the next claroline release.
