Two categories of members are defined within the Claroline Consortium :
  • The full members are organizations using the Claroline platform and particularly involved in its development and/or promotion. The applicant full member should apply to the Board of Directors that will validate its application with the help of the General Assembly.
  • The associate members are natural persons using Claroline, supporting the Consortium activities and participating in the achievement of its social goal, but without having the same rights as the full members.
To join the association, the applicant associate member should fill in the ad hoc form. His application will be submitted to the General Assembly.

Rights and duties of the members

Besides the commitments in terms of use, promotion and development of the Claroline platform, the members commit to respecting the status and the internal rules, and to paying the fee fixed annually by the General Assembly of the full members.

For the full members the admission fee is 1000 euros, at which you have to add the annual fee of 800 euros.
There is no fee for the associate members, but they are invited to make a donation to the project.

The Claroline Consortium members have an access to the member’s forum and to privileged information. They also benefit from special conditions for the annual conference of Claroline users.

The full members have additional rights : they take part in the decisions as members of the General Assembly of the full members. They can as such be represented by someone within the decision making organs of the Consortium, namely the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee.
