The Rewics "Rencontres wallonnes de l’Internet citoyen" is an annual meeting that evaluates the challenges and opportunities of the Internet and the information technologies in the non-profit and public sectors.

ACCU 2010 Call for communications

The information dealing with ACCU 2010 is now partially available on our website . We sincerely hope to welcome you in Rimouski (Quebec) for this 5th edition of the conference.

The call for communications has been launched and can be found here . Communications proposals are expected before March 15th. Do not hesitate to send your proposal.

Claroline 1.9.4 released

Claroline 1.9.4 is available.

List of changes ; security issues fixed, bugs fixed, new icons to display the access to the course, langage files can be saved in platform/lang, enhanced html layout, enable to update user'properties on csv import and other changes in the kernel.

This upgrade is highy recommended.

Module Who is online++ with skype link

New applet developped by the Frédéric Fervaille, member of the icampus team of the UCL university.

This applet allows to know who is online on the platform...

It can also displays some information about the online users: skype account status, e-mail adress, picture or local time.

For security purposes, it can be configured to allow each user to see their "classmates" ( i.e. the users registered in at least one of his courses ).

If you used previous version of the applet Who is online, you need to uninstall it before and not only desactivate it.

Steering Committee Meeting

Claroline Consortium is presently working on the future new version of Claroline platform (Code name: Claronext).

So, from January 18th tll 20th, an important meeting of the Steering Committee of the project has been held in Liège (Belgium). On the agenda, a review of the platform architecture, functionalities and ergonomics of this future version.

Teaching nursing sciences in UQAR and working presently in Rivière-du-Loup, Marie Lacombe won the Pascal-Parent Prize 2009 due to the 1st cycle short program dealing with the perinatal period she developed.

This program, unique in Quebec, is completely mediatized and distributed using the UQAR Claroline platform. It allows to join all nurses of Quebec who want to increase their competencies in this field.

At the end of this year 2009, in the name of the authorities of Claroline Consortium and of development teams, Marcel Lebrun, Philippe Mercenier and Philippe Dekimpe address to all Claroline Community their best wishes for a very pleasant holidays and for a year 2010 full of joy and various successes.

For the Claroline Community, this next year will be very intense, through new modules proposed, a 1.10 version of the platform, the beginning of the development of a future new version of Claroline, the annual conference of Claroline users in Rimouski (Quebec), new full members joining the Claroline Consortium (why not you ?) and a lot of other events and various announcements that will delight all Claroline users.

We also intend to listen to you and your needs. So, do not hesitate to use the user forums to make suggestions, to communicate about your practices and to propose your developments.

The University of Saint-Etienne joins Claroline Consortium
