ImageSébastien Piraux from the Claroline team released the new version 2.3 of phpLangEditor (PLE). PLE is a Firefox extension dedicated to the edition of php applications language files. It is the Claroline translation tool.


ImagePierre-Henri Baraffe and Jean-Luc Tessier, from Université de Lille2 (France), recently integrated their Claroline campus into their Environnement Numérique de Travail (ENT). They share the code modifications with the community. Thanks for their contribution.

The Claroline team is pleased to announce the fifth update of the stable version of Claroline 1.8.Image

This update introduces a new export functionality in the users tool to obtain the CSV user list of the course.

In addition of bug fixes we have also added Shibboleth SSO (from Daniel Streiff) and LCS SSO (from Olivier Lécluse) in the authentication system.

A new Claroline Consortium

ImageThe Claroline team is happy to announce the creation of the Claroline Consortium. This international non-profit association was born on May, 23 during the ACCU 2007, at the initiative of five founder institutions :

  • Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium
  • Haute Ecole Léonard de Vinci, Belgium
  • Universidade de Vigo, Spain
  • Université du Québec à Rimouski, Canada
  • Universidad Católica del Norte, Chile

The main goals of the new Consortium are federating the Claroline community, coordinating the platform development and promoting its use.

Christophe Gesché, alias Moosh, explained how an Open Source project such as Claroline is built and developed.
