 The team has released a new version of Claroline 1.8 that fixes some security issues discovered by the Digital Security Research Group [DSecRG]. We strongly advise all platform administrators to upgrade to this version.
We have complete some translations : Hungarian (thanks to
Maxigas) and Spanish latin (thanks to Mario Augusto Mendez Secaira). We also fixed some minor bugs in tools such as exercises, learning path, download of files,... For more details check the complete changelog on the wiki.

 Thanks to the community votes Claroline has been nominated for the "2008 Community Choice Awards" organized by SourceForge.net. Claroline has been selected to be one of the ten finalists in the best projects for educators category and we wish to thank you a lot for that.

 The third edition of the Annual Conference of Claroline Users was a great success, thanks to all the Claroline users who came to Montpellier to share their eLearning experience.

Have a look at promising new features such as internal messaging system, user desktop, course module activation, templating,...
» Download Claroline 1.9 alpha
This release should be considered as a pre-version. It should
absolutely not be considered as stable and therefore should not be use
in production. PHP 5.2 is required.
You are invited to test it and report your opinion and feedbacks in the Claroline forum.

 Meet the Claroline team at the trade show Rewics on Wednesday April, 23 on the "Géode" of Charleroi (Belgium).
The Rewics is the "Rencontres wallonnes de l’Internet citoyen". It evaluates the challenges and
opportunities of the Internet and the information technologies in the
non-profit and public sectors.
