Meet the Claroline team this month in France or in Belgium.

• Solutions Ressources Humaines : March, 13-15 at the CNIT Paris-la-Défense. It is aimed at business leaders, human resources managers, training and IT managers.

• ReWICs – Rencontres wallonnes de l’Internet citoyen : March, 19 at the Charleroi CEME (Belgium). It evaluates the challenges and opportunities of the Internet and the information technologies in the non-profit and public sectors.

Claroline has a new website with a fresh design, new pages and more information.

Let’s have a look at some of the new items :

• A multilingual website : the French and English versions are already online. A Spanish version will be available soon.
• A “modules” section : download new modules for your Claroline platform.
• A Donations page: contribute to the development of Claroline by donating to the project.
• ACCU 2007 : the website of the coming Annual Conference of Claroline Users (Vigo, May 23-25) is now available from this page. It will be updated regularly with the organisation details.

The Claroline team launches a call for communications for the Annual Conference of Claroline Users - ACCU 2007 which will be held at the Vigo University (Spain) on May 23–25, 2007. The users who want to share their experience about the platform are invited to contact the Scientific committee at accu@claroline.net and to send them a proposition of presentation before March 15^th 2007. 

The communications can be proposed in English, Spanish or French by using this application form.

The Claroline team is proud to announce a new release of the Claroline 1.8 stable version.

As always, bug fixes, refactoring, new features. We've got it all.

New features of this release :

• Welcome text displayed to anonymous or authenticated users on the homepage.
• It's now possible to add easily tables and any media file (Quicktime, Flash, Shockwave, Windows media, Real media, ...) in your texts with WYSIWYG editor
• Configure SMTP mail server directly in the administration.

The IPM (Pedagogical team of Catholic University of Louvain) will organize a training to share the practices of iCampus (the Claroline platform of the university).

This training will be held in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), building Agora, classroom 12 on February 9th, 2007, from 2 pm until 5 pm.

The Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) offers a vacancy for a post of system engineer and developer for the local exploitation of its Claroline platform : iCampus.

Full time job in Louvain-la-Neuve in the pedagogical team that initiated the project.

The second edition of the iLearning Forum will be held in Paris on January 30th - 31st 2007 at the Palais des Congrès.

The theme of the event is "Learning in the 21st Century".

Florence Ortmans and Guillaume Lederer from the Claroline team (Cerdecam asbl) will be presenting Claroline in a stand.

The Linux Solutions Event is the European reference for professionals dedicated to Solutions GNU/Linux, Open Source & Free Software for businesses, public services and administrations.

The trade show will take place from January 30th to February 1st at the CNIT Paris-La-Défense (France).
