The authority of « Universidad Catolica del Norte » (UCN) decided some days ago to adopt Claroline. The main argument for this choice was the simplicity of use of Claroline in a multidisciplinary university. This simplicity allows the teacher to devote his energy where it matters most : the students learning and the quality of university teaching. The UCN in Antofagasta (North of Chile) has different locations in North Chile : Coquimbo, San Pedro de Atacama and Santiago. This university has already a long collaboration with the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) which is the initial developer of Claroline. This collaboration includes pedagogical and technological trainings in the fields of university teachers development. |
