Unesco honours Claroline
The Claroline project is the winner of the 2007 UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education. The other laureate is the American project Curriki. The laureates were chosen from among 68 projects from 51 countries.
The Director-General of UNESCO will present the prize to the two laureates in a ceremony at Organization Headquarters on 19 December.

Opinion survey for the ACCU 2008 in Canada
To help the conference organisation, the Université du Québec proposes to survey the Claroline community. It is only in French for the moment, but it will be translated soon.

Linux+ : comparative table of free e-learning platforms
In its special edition E-learning (09/2007), the Linux+ magazine writes an article about Choosing and setting up a free e-learning software (fr).
Pierre Ourdouillé tested and compared 7 platforms and Claroline obtained the best results in the comparative table.
New user manual in French
The Claroline team published a new user manual in French for Claroline 1.8, available in 3 versions : student, teacher and administrator.

L'UNESCO récompense Claroline
Le projet Claroline a reçu le prix UNESCO - Roi Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa 2007 pour l'utilisation des technologies de l'information et de la communication dans l'éducation. Il est lauréat avec le projet américain Curriki. 68 projets présentés par 51 pays étaient en compétition.
Le Directeur général de l’UNESCO remettra leur prix aux deux lauréats au cours d’une cérémonie qui aura lieu au siège de l’Organisation, le 19 décembre prochain.
