Claroline in Charleroi (Belgium)

Meet the Claroline team at the trade show Rewics on Wednesday April, 23 on the "Géode" of Charleroi (Belgium).

The Rewics is the "Rencontres wallonnes de l’Internet citoyen". It evaluates the challenges and opportunities of the Internet and the information technologies in the non-profit and public sectors.

ACCU 08 - One more week for the communications!

As announced on our website, April 10 was the deadline for sending us your presentation proposals for the Annual conference of Claroline users. We have already received many of them, thank you to all of you who sent us a communication!

In order to let more people participate in the event, we extend our call for communications by one week. The proposals can still be sent until April, 18, 2008.

'F�te de l'Internet' in Brussels

The Belgian Institute of Victimology will present the platform Claroline during the "Fête de l'Internet" in Brussels this Tuesday, March 18, 2008.

The Institute uses Claroline as a pedagogical platform and collaboration tool for the projects administration and also as a support for the training in Victimology.

ACCU 08 - Call for communications

We talked about the Canada but this is in France at the Université de Montpellier II that the third edition
of the Annual Conference of Claroline Users (ACCU 08) will be held on May 23–24, 2008.

The Claroline team launches a call for communications for the ACCU 08. The users who want to share their experience about the platform are invited to contact the Scientific committee at accu@claroline.net and to send them a proposition of presentation before April 10, 2008.

The communications can be proposed in English, Spanish or French by using this application form.

'Semaine du Libre' at Marie Haps

The 'Semaine du libre' that presents the 'free software', began this Monday, February 25th, at the Marie Haps Institute, in Brussels. Until the Thursday, 28th, from 7pm to 9pm, you'll attend different conferences.

Two developers of Claroline, Frédéric Minne and Sébastien Piraux, will present the platform, on Tuesday 26th at 7pm.

This week is free open for everyone. Feel free to go there!

Claroline 1.8.9 available

The team is proud to announce the new release of the stable version of Claroline. This Claroline 1.8.9 fixes some security flaws so we invite all Claroliners to upgrade to this minor release.

Among changes are translations :

Complete translations of Dutch (by Bob Podevijn)
Simple chinese translation (by Derek Zhou)
Czech translation (by Lubos Hladik)

And new features or fixed bugs :

Fixed some security flaws
The ability to delete a topic (by FUNDP, Belgium)
Fixed : corrupted download of submissions in assignments
Fixed : corrupted export of exercises

Download Claroline 1.8.9 now.
